Frontier Energy Network Africa E&P Summit Live in London
The Africa E&P Summit prepares to convene at a crucial time for the oil & gas industry and the stakes could not be higher for Africa’s E&P sector. The hiatus created by the global pandemic sees African governments with a strong desire to meet with leading IOC’s as well as independent oil and gas companies and investors at the summit. The Honorable Archie Donmo, Director General at the Liberia Petroleum Regulatory Authority will present a talk focussed on rethinking, rebranding and readjusting Liberia's offshore opportunities through direct negotiations, while a Gambian delegation will travel to London with their Minister of Petroleum & Energy, H.E. Honourable Fafa Sanyang and Mr Jerreh Barrow, The Gambia’s Commissioner for Petroleum, to meet with potential investors and partners.
The burning question on the minds of the senior level audience will be how Africa can shape dialogue with investors and Western governments to ensure a smooth energy transition in the long-term whilst ensuring short-to-medium-term investment and progression in Africa’s hydrocarbon potential. This question will be tackled within the Energy 2050 Working Group, a chaired session focused on creating an Energy 2050 Pathway for Africa. A summary report prepared in collaboration with invitees will be published and made public post-event.
