We include up to three seismic foldouts per issue that are perfect for showcasing your best assets.

We allocate this very popular foldout based on a points system. You earn points for advertising in the magazine and online in 2017 and for booked advertisements in 2018.

Material Specifications

Requirements for Advert Material:

  • Use the PDF/X-1a standard, alternative high-resolution CMYK TIFF files (360dpi) if PDF is unsuitable for any reason
  • Create the PDF to the exact size in millimeters
  • If your ad features white space around the edges, give clear instruc- tions as to whether a border is to be added (or not) by us
  • Allow 3mm bleed on each outside edge for full page bleed adverts (so 210 x 280 => 216 mm x 286 mm)
  • Do not add crop marks, colour bars, or margins
  • All colour elements in files must be in CMYK (no Spot or RGB colours)
  • Mono elements must be in grayscale (no Spot or RGB colours)
  • All fonts should be embedded
  • All colour and grayscale images should be in high resolution where possible (300 dpi or greater). Where lower-resolution images must not be used, please upscale to 300 dpi before including
  • Line art images and pixel-based representations of text should be sized at 600 dpi or greater

Ad Creation Process

In order to facilitate a simple and efficient process for the creation and implementation of advertising, GEO ExPro offers two approaches for generating adverts.

We have created a range of templates to make the ad creation process as straightforward as possible. In order to use a template you simply send the assets required and they are automatically placed within the template.

A proof is then sent for testing and approval. Examples of ad templates available include:

  • Slideshows
  • Interactive Info-graphics

Should you wish to create a custom ad for the platform, GEO ExPro can facilitate this. We can provide guidance for in-house creative teams and agencies as to the specifications for the desired ad. Our suggested workflow is to send our Digital Marketing Manager a brief outline of what you would like to present in the ad and we will suggest the most efficient solution. Custom ads may incur a development charge dependent on the degree of complexity required.

Requirements

  • Ads are responsive to screen width and have a max width of 1130 px. For widths up to 480 px the height is 470 px. For widths from 480 px to 1130 px the height is 320 px
  • All non web-standard corporate fonts must be included in submission
  • Images should be high resolution JPEG or PNG
  • For custom ads we require HTML, CSS and any related image and code assets

In 2018 we will be offering exclusive, sponsored content and ad space on geoexpro.com.

This will allow you to purchase exclusive space on our website to promote relevant industry content and have only your adverts and branding shown on your article. i.e. this is not a shared space and will be exclusively yours.

This content will also be promoted on our homepage and across our weekly bulletin communications and social media channels.

The article will be labelled sponsored content and must be approved by our editor. Only one sponsored article will run in promotions at any one time.
